I like to believe that this is much the way the angels react when we are being created. “Oh, look at that one! Oh, that's my favorite!”
You see, regardless of your hair or your face or your body or anything else about you, God loves you so much! He loves all the little things that make you who you are! He made you and cherishes you!
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13)
We look in the mirror and are often our own biggest critic. “My eyes/nose/forehead/ears/teeth are too small/big/crooked/ugly”. But God sees exactly who He created back when we were just forming inside our mother’s body; and He loves you more than you can even imagine.
In fact, before you were created, He had already seen every day of your life. Every good and bad decision you would make. Every word you would speak was revealed to Him. And please understand this: He chose to create you. He loves you. He cherishes you. And He wants to spend eternity with you – that’s what He created you for!
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:14-16)
