The world cannot understand us, just as we don’t understand the world. Our views are as different as an eagle and a mole. Moles love the darkness and avoid the light. Their vision is poor, so they live in the deep, digging their way through the mud.
Eagles have piercingly sharp vision and see things from a higher perspective. A mole would not be able to see things from the Eagle’s perspective, because their vision is not built for the heights.
Our vision is of a height and level of understanding the world cannot focus on – it makes no sense to them because they do not understand their surroundings through the Spirit and Truth of God. They see only the world around them, and not the unseen miracles of the heights of heaven.
Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. (1 John 5:5)
