Esther was chosen by God, and because of that, Esther was chosen by the King. He had hundreds of beautiful young ladies to choose from, but only Esther made the grade. Why do you suppose everyone showed her favor above all the others?
Esther won the favor of everyone who saw her. (Esther 2:15b)
When one finds themselves in the perfect place to serve God’s Will, it is not coincidence but Providence. I would argue that many of us are in that position right now.
This COVID pandemic is affecting the already poor in truly devastating ways. Those of us that find themselves particularly blessed at this time are in a position to help those in need. Don’t imagine that it is just a happy coincidence that financial/material blessings are here at this time – it is Providence.
Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses. (Proverbs 28:27)
So…if you are among those chosen for such a time as this, what will you do about it?
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
