There are times when tragedy strikes close to home. Indeed, sometimes we can see no rhyme or reason in what happens to us or those we love. Brokenness, suffering, disease, death – it tears into our very core watching those we love go through this.
The moments of chaos can quickly become moments of clarity. It is when everything falls down around us that we often get the clearest view of the Cross of Calvary! And it is in these times of strife and sorrow that we need to cling most tightly to the Cross of Jesus Christ. When all around us appears bleak, we must go to the One that bore our sin, shame, and punishment.
Through the lens of Christ’s redeeming blood we see that beauty can come from sorrow – life from death. We don’t have to understand everything this world brings, but we do have to know the One who created this world. Only through Him can we be part of the remedy instead of living out our lives as part of the curse.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13a)
In this world, there are often no easy answers for the chaos that comes into our lives. But to God there is a reason and a purpose, and He is turning our unrhyming chaos into a beautiful symphony!
