before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
This beautiful verse shows us that God had chosen Jeremiah to speak the messages God gave him even before Jeremiah was born. But it’s not just Jeremiah who is known in this way.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16)
God saw each of us, and He has a preset purpose for each of us as well. The real question, in fact, is not whether God knows us - He always has, as we can see by these verses. No, the question that must be answered is whether we know Him!
He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. (John 1:11)
As it was 2000 years ago, so it remains. So many do not receive Christ as God. If they only knew what they were missing!
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (John 1:12-13)s
I'll say it again.... if they only realized what they were missing out on… won’t you tell someone today?
