Rehab the Prostitute showed her faith through her actions protecting the Israel spies. Think about this - the Bible clearly states she was a prostitute, but that her faith was still recognized.
What is not said? Does it say she never sinned again? She completely turned her life around from that day forward? Or that she started singing in the church choir? No.
And this is not the only place in the New Testament that Rahab is used as an example of faith. She is also called out by name in the famous chapter in Hebrews often referred to as the “Hall of Faith”.
By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient. (Hebrews 11:31)
She demonstrated her faith through serving God’s Kingdom, and He recognized her for it. And not even just that, but God specifically used her as an example of faith - twice - in the New Testament!
Am I saying we shouldn’t try to give up our life of sin? Not at all! What I am saying is that we are all sinners saved by grace, and even sinners like us who show their faith through action are recognized by our holy and benevolent Creator.
