Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom. (Isaiah 40:28)
One of our tasks when we take up the mantle of being a disciple of Christ, is to let the whole world know who Jesus is, and what He means to us. While we may feel and indeed be unworthy of such a task, we are nonetheless directed to do this.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
However, we do not need to come up with clever phrases or new ways of telling people about our God. We can use the very Word of God to tell others about Him! The Bible is filled with encouraging word pictures that use God’s own words to describe His greatness and His glory.
What better words can we use than His own?
My mouth is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor all day long. (Psalm 71:8)
