Whose sin is covered. (Psalm 32:1)
The question is never, “Did I sin?” The question is, “What can I do about it?” All of us sin at times; we will never be perfect while we are in this flesh. But we are to strive for God’s Holiness, even knowing we cannot achieve it on our own. When we falter, we must turn back to the Father, admit our sinful actions, and ask for His Son to cover us.
God knows all - including that we are unable to be completely without sin – this is precisely why He sent His Son Jesus down here to a lonely manger and a young mother. Jesus had to live like us; go through what we went through; share our daily struggles. This was required because we cannot be saved by bulls or goats, but only by another one of our kind. He was human, yet without sin.
This made Jesus the One and Only Perfect Sacrifice.
When we sin, we must turn to our Perfect Sacrifice for our forgiveness. He has done the work – leaving the throne; living this life; dying for us – so that we have a path to holiness through Him.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. (Psalm 32:5b)
