He saw that they were in serious trouble, rowing hard and struggling against the wind and waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. He intended to go past them, but when they saw him walking on the water, they cried out in terror, thinking he was a ghost. They were all terrified when they saw him.
But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!” Then he climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. They were totally amazed (Mark 6:48-51)
The storm is going to come. In fact, we only need look around us in these tumultuous times to see storms raging all around. But take heart! If you have accepted Jesus, then you can be sure the great I AM is there in the storm with you.
Once we realize and accept that He is with us in the storm, the wind and waves won’t seem quite as fierce. Let the Calmer of the Storm, the Great I AM, lead you through the storms of life, and you too will be totally amazed!
